The National Carillon was illuminated last night to celebrate Bastille Day with The French Embassy France in Australia - Ambassade de France en Australie. The lighting coincided with a French-themed Carillon concert, by carillonist Julie Wright to celebrate. On July 14th, France celebrates Bastille Day, its national day, marking the start of the French Revolution in 1789 as well as the birth of the French Republic and its values of liberty.
