🎈Today we celebrate John Orcsik, the heart and soul of TAFTA.

Since the founding of TAFTA in 1994, John has been more than a mentor. He is a teacher, a guide, and a true friend to so many. His impact reaches far beyond the classroom. He has shaped generations of actors with his wisdom, honesty, and deep care, always showing up with generosity and selflessness for those around him.

Students past and present speak of him with such genuine respect and affection. So many careers, and more importantly so many lives, are better because of John. His humour always keeps us on our toes and reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously while still striving to be our best.

We are incredibly grateful to know him, to learn from him, and to be part of what he has built. As we move into our 32nd year of TAFTA, we are proud to continue the work you started and the community you’ve created.
