Last Friday I attended the Cancer Foundation fundraising lunch in Brisbane.

Walking into events like this is a good reminder that there are things far bigger than business.

The room was filled with people coming together to support research, clinical trials, awareness, and better outcomes for women affected by gynaecological cancers.

Cherish exists to help fund groundbreaking medical research aimed at improving treatment options, increasing survival rates, and creating kinder outcomes for women and girls facing these cancers.

One of the things that stood out most was hearing the personal stories behind why so many people support the cause.

It’s easy to get caught up in:
– Projects
– Deadlines
– Growth
– Business goals

But events like this bring you back to what really matters.
People.
Health.
Family.
Community.

There was a huge amount of generosity in the room and it was great to see so many businesses and individuals getting behind something that has such a meaningful impact.

A big thank you to the team at Cherish for putting together such a great event and for the work they continue to do funding life-changing research.

A very worthwhile event.
