Oh wow! A new Food Composition database which includes a lot of newer foods and beverages that are now mainstream. Great for food entrepreneurs and labelling!

We have launched the much-anticipated second release of the Australian Food Composition Database (AFCD). The AFCD is an easy to search, high quality database of the nutrient content of Australian food.

The second release includes updated data for commonly consumed foods such as:
👉chicken
👉bread, and
👉coffee.

It also contains data on new foods included for the first time, including:
👉kombucha
👉plant-based meat alternatives
👉non-dairy yoghurts and beverages, and
👉snack bars and protein powder.
