For people who have been following me on Instagram for a while would know my philosophy when it comes to posting on Social Media.
To my new followers, welcome to my community and I do hope you learn something new about Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, Branding and Website Design.
I want to remind and emphasise that you do not sell on social media and this platform is for initiating connection and conversation.
Let’s focus on creating content that provides value and not to post for the sake of posting.
If you are unsure to post, then don’t post it.

As business owners / entrepreneurs we have the tenacity to be working long hours and if we are not working we feel guilty. I can definitely relate to the latter.
What the last few years of running my own business has taught me is that I do not need to follow others in running a business. I started my business so that I can spend more time with my little one and have the flexibility to do projects that light me up.
I have been attending Quench Collective Fill Up Your Cup workshops and love how Grace is a generous community leader. There was a post that Grace posted about normalising taking a break from Instagram, not getting back to an email right away and ending our day early. I am saying 100% yes to this. We didn’t start our business to be burnt out but we started it to fit around our lives not the other way around.
I have finally found my feet in running my own show and enjoy my family life, the way that I had envisioned, three years ago.

When speaking to new potential clients, the one metric that I hear to determine Social Media Marketing success is reaching the 10K follower mark.
I am saying that’s not a bad metric but it’s not easy to get there if you only focus on organic Social Media Marketing. You have to be prepared to invest in paid social media to supplement in order to reach this goal.
Let me leave you with a statement to ponder on.
If you were to get 10k followers overnight, would your business be able to get down 0 DM in your inbox everyday, reply to ALL comments on posts, authentically engage with your community, come up with the content, schedule the post and finally do the actually work that you need to do to keep your business afloat?
If you said yes to all of the above, well kudos to you. I would ask you how you can do it all without burning out?
If you answered no to some of the items above, my question is, if you can start outsourcing some of the Social Media Marketing tasks, what tasks would you be able to do in your business?
