Architectural Collaborative

Architectural Collaborative was honoured to be a part of the Mt Crosby Workers Cottage project, collaborating with heritage consultants . The project recently received a commendation in the Australian Institute of Architects awards program in the Heritage category. This image features hand drawings of the fence and gate, produced in the early 1900s and uncovered during the research phase.

Hand drawing, sometimes a lost art, is still essential in our practice. It’s quick, effective, personal and creative and allows for great decision making before getting into the technicalities. Here's a school building we’re working on that's making great progressing focusing on connectivity, balance and form.

When the client sends you photos of the completed projects and says “well done”! It’s fantastic to see the final building which was designed to meet the needs of anchor tenants RSL QLD, Mates for Mates and Open Arms, in full swing.
