TYPES OF LOGOS…

There are around 7 types of logos, but I’ll be touching on just 4 of the main ones.

WORDMARKS -
A type of logo design that includes only the company name — no symbols, mascots, or badges. Wordmark logos are also called “logotypes,” and can include monogram variations for smaller spaces like social media profiles and favicons.

Unlike Combination Marks and Emblems, a Wordmark logo is not dependent on a picture to convey its message. A Wordmark is a font-based logo. Fonts can evoke emotion, without the use of pictures/icons/symbols, with the right font choice and a little professional design embellishment you can have a gorgeous Wordmark logo, that will draw in the preferred target market for your business.

MONOGRAMS / LETTERMARKS -
A monogram logo is a decorative design made up of a combination of one to three letters (traditionally three) to create a single symbol. Monogram logos are commonly used to represent the initials of a person or business.

COMBINATION MARKS (can also be a Mascot logo) -
A Combination Mark is a Wordmark and Monogram or Symbol/Picture combined into one logo. Some organizations, such as Coca-Cola or Google, focus exclusively on an eye-catching Wordmark. Others build their visual identity around a shape or image, like Apple (Pictorial Marks are not the best option for new businesses trying to gain brand recognition). Rather than relying exclusively on a word or an image to tell your audience everything they need to know about your business, a combination mark allows you to use both.

EMBLEMS -
Similar to Combination Mark logos, Emblem logos combine images with text. The difference is Emblem logos encapsulate their design features within a frame or border. Combination logos do not; think badges, seals and crests.

CUSTOM SIGNAGE!

South Burnett Regional Council was granted some funding to plant trees in QEII Park, Murgon in honour of the late Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. SBRC named each tree after some of the significant community groups within Murgon.

Printing is done by the brilliant BL Custom Signs.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR!!

Wedding season is here… we kicked it off by celebrating with our two gorgeous friend’s and their little best man.

I had the honor of designing their beautiful wedding invitations, if I do say so myself. 🤭

I’m so glad I was able to bring their vision to life. It’s moments like these that make me so glad to be a designer.

Introducing Dashed!

is a custom laser cut and engraving business based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.

They create all things unique for any occasion. If you have an event coming up and need something designed to make your idea come to life… give them a holla.

Had so much fun creating this logo for them. It had to be strong and bold, yet friendly and approachable… just like Shan and Dave. 😊

SPORTS CLUBS!

Have you considered giving your sports team a new logo? It could help boost morale in the team. We all want a team we can be proud of, right? So why not freshen up the logo?

I had so much fun creating this guy for the Logan Hockey. We worked closely with Logan City Council to ensure there weren’t any issues with copyright and whilst we could no longer use the iconic Logan City Council flower (used in the previous Logan Hockey Club logo), we were able to pay homage to it, using the three hockey balls. This allowed us to freshen up the design, whilst using consistent elements from the old logo, so it still remained identifiable.
