Familiar Ground explores the significance of rural Australian towns, with a focus on Mapleton. Jones offers an intimate reflection on her hometown, considering memory, place, and belonging. Dobie offers a wider perspective, considering life in rural towns across Australia with a quiet attention to detail.

Bringing together both new and archival works, Familiar Ground invites viewers to reflect on the past and present of life in regional Australia.

Welcome to Your Local Film Lab we’re an independent film processing lab based in West End, Meanjin/Brisbane. We specialise in 35mm/120 Colour (C-41) and Black & White film processing. *Side (E6) coming soon.

You can either, drop off your rolls in store for developing during our opening hours Tuesday to Saturday 10am - 4pm, via the 24/7 drop box on our x vending machine, mail-in or by dropping them off at our various film drop off locations on the Sunshine Coast & Brisbane .lane .

Here at Your Local Film Lab we use an online ordering system when you drop off your rolls. This allows us to focus on processing your rolls with a consistent turnaround time. You can find our online order form and more information about our lab services on our website.
