39 ay, What a life it's turned out to be!
I have this nostalgic back to the future type moment most birthdays, this self reflective segment of the day where I'm forced to take a look back on the years contribution to the life it's been and this morning seems more prominently posted up in my head than any previously! And the take away so far has been "f^ck I'm grateful I decided to stay!" Few of even my closest know of the struggle of lil morgz, 13-17 (darkest era of my exist) and the constant battle of "do I stay or do I go" that lil dude was on. A deeply downward trend constantly excusing his sh°t decisions with "I won't make it past 21" or some such negatively geared message. It wasn't till I started working with staging dept of QPAC at 17 and then All Access Crewing at 18 that I truly felt I'd found my place, and was meeting my people who would go on to become tribesmen and women.
Living this life in the music really made for a beautiful ride, and all this covid lockdown and beyond backlash on the events sector has just stood to remind me of how much I truly love my life's work.
Life's hard, finding something to live for ain't easy! But find it, and make it your everyday!
I'm so stoked I decided to stay.
