Some big changes ahead for our employer sponsored subclass 482 and 494 visa holders. They will have 180 days to find a new sponsor and can work while doing so. This will ensure that visa holders can support themselves while they look for a new sponsor.

Unless exempt, a visa holder cannot work for another employer unless they have ceased work with their sponsoring employer. Visa holders must remain in their nominated occupation while working for their existing sponsor.

Vetassess have closed for new applications for certain occupations so they can work through their backlog. There are other options, that we have used previously as their processing times were much more favourable.
