There are fewer moving parts, less cross-discipline work, and smaller crews involved, but maintenance of our Chinchilla and Greenbank batteries is just as critical as the overhauls at our power stations.
Recently, our team worked with Tesla engineers to complete the first annual maintenance programs on the Megapacks at both the Chinchilla Battery and Greenbank Battery, ensuring these assets continue to operate safely, reliably and efficiently.
“The theory is similar to an overhaul,” Electrical Maintainer Operator, Jeffrey Watts said.
“It’s about effective planning at the front end, getting safe access to isolated plant, and performing high quality maintenance.
"There are no rotating shafts, much less risk of dropped objects, and limited work from heights, but there are unique risks and elements to manage."
