What a pleasure it was to meet Adelina from Ridge Scouts!

Adelina and her team are taking on the 18km Kokoda Challenge at D'Aguilar National Park, a fantastic effort that requires some serious fundraising to get them there. I was only too happy to contribute a raffle prize to help the team reach their goal.

The Kokoda Challenge is a wonderful way for young people to push themselves, build resilience and honour the spirit of those who walked the Kokoda Track. Best of luck to Adelina and the whole Bracken Ridge Scouts team, we will be cheering you on! 💪

This week I had the pleasure of presenting to the wonderful members of the BNI Business Power Team, sharing how Brisbane City Council is supporting and investing in local businesses across our city.

The BNI community is a great example of local business people backing each other, and it was wonderful to be part of that conversation.

From the programs and initiatives Council has in place to help businesses grow, to the infrastructure investments that keep Brisbane's economy moving, it was great to be able to share what Council is doing and hear firsthand what matters most to local business owners.
