The Fair Work Ombudsman has officially released the updated pay guides for the 2026/27 financial year.

Modern award minimum wages increase by 4.75%, while the National Minimum Wage jumps by 6%.

The new rates apply from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2026.

Key 2026/27 Increases

National Minimum Wage: Bumped up to $1004.90 per week or $26.44 per hour.

Entry-Level Rate: Baseline rate for ongoing employment must be at least $978.10 per week or $25.74 per hour.

Modern Award Minimums: All award levels receive a 4.75% uplift.

About the Role

You'll support the day-to-day financial operations of a purpose-driven organisation, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting support, audit preparation and maintaining accurate financial records in Xero.

We're looking for someone with:

• 3+ years' experience in finance, accounts or bookkeeping
• Strong AP, AR and reconciliation experience
• Experience using Xero and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Experience in NFP or community services highly regarded
