🚨 CYCLONE NARELLE — PERTH WARNING 🚨
Hey everyone — if you’re in Perth please read this carefully and share widely!
We are currently in East Perth and have been closely tracking Cyclone Narelle all week. Here’s what you need to know:
📍 Current situation:
Narelle is a Category 3-4 cyclone currently north of Port Hedland and heading south towards Perth. This is a RARE and serious weather event for our city.
⏰ Timeline:
∙ Friday — conditions start deteriorating
∙ Saturday — heavy rain begins, stay home
∙ Sunday — WORST day, do not go outside under any circumstances
∙ Monday — slowly improving
☔ What to expect:
∙ 50-100mm+ of rainfall
∙ Strong damaging winds
∙ Flash flooding in streets
∙ Possible power outages
∙ Road closures
✅ What to do RIGHT NOW:
∙ Stock up on food and water for 3-5 days
∙ Get torches and spare batteries
∙ Get a portable power bank
∙ Fill containers with water tonight
∙ Charge ALL devices now
∙ Download Emergency Alert and BOM apps
∙ Move car out of basement parking
∙ Clear your balcony completely
∙ Stay away from windows Saturday/Sunday
