We love it when you Talk Birdy To Us
Australia’s wild birds are something else.
Bright colours, big personalities and very loud lungs to match.
From rainbow lorikeets flashing through the trees, to cheeky cockatoos causing chaos at camp, to galahs looking pretty in pink like they know it, our birdlife brings so much character to a road trip.
They are colourful, curious, noisy, hilarious and sometimes a little too interested in your snacks.
But honestly, waking up to the sounds of the Aussie bush is one of the best parts of camping in Australia.
Wild, loud and full of personality.
Just how we like it.

Gazetted tracks only, legends 🚙
We love a good 4WD adventure, but there is one important rule when travelling with Adventure Rentals:
Our vehicles must stay on gazetted tracks.
What does that mean?
A gazetted track is a recognised 4WD track or road that is mapped on Hema maps or a road atlas. Think Gibb River Road, Oodnadatta Track, 4WD tracks in national parks and plenty of other epic outback routes.
What it does not mean is making your own track through the bush.
In Australia, that is called bush bashing, and it is not allowed in our vehicles.
Why?
Because unmarked tracks are not managed or maintained. They can be overgrown, washed out, rocky or hiding nasty surprises underneath the grass and scrub. Large rocks, branches, trees and uneven ground can cause underbody damage and increase the chance of a breakdown and serious damage to your bank account.
Our vehicles are premium, late model Toyota 4WDs, built for adventure, but just because it is a 4WD does not mean it can go anywhere.
We are very flexible with where you can travel, and we love helping guests explore some of Australia’s best remote tracks safely. This rule is simply there to protect you, the vehicle and your holiday.
Adventure is encouraged.
Bush bashing is not.
Stick to the mapped tracks and enjoy the good stuff safely.
