💜 March is Purple Month – Raising Awareness for Epilepsy 💜
Throughout March in Australia, we recognise Purple Month, a time dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of epilepsy.
💜 March 26 is Purple Day — a global day of awareness where people are encouraged to wear purple and start conversations about epilepsy.
Epilepsy affects more than 250,000 Australians and can impact people of all ages and abilities. For many individuals and families, epilepsy is more than just seizures — it can influence daily routines, education, employment, and community participation.
As a disability support provider, we are committed to:
💜 Promoting inclusion and understanding
💜 Supporting individuals living with epilepsy to live independently and confidently
💜 Creating safe and supportive environments for our participants
💜 Raising awareness to reduce stigma and misconceptions
By wearing purple on March 26 and throughout the month, we can help build a more informed, inclusive, and supportive community.
Let’s stand together this Purple Month. 💜

It's Invisible Disabilities Week — a time to raise awareness and understanding for the many people living with disabilities that aren't immediately visible. 💙
At Ancora, we recognise that not all challenges can be seen, and we're committed to providing respectful, inclusive support for every individual.
Let’s continue to break down barriers and build a more understanding community.
It’s Invisible Disabilities Week (19–25 October)! 🌻
Around 80–85% of people with a disability have one that isn’t visible. These include neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health, and chronic conditions that aren’t always immediately apparent.
Not all disabilities are visible — but a little understanding and kindness can go a long way in making everyone feel seen and supported.
