Unfortunately, training Whisky for me at the moment is difficult. 😥 I’ve had surgery and am in recovery, so I need to work on safe, simple games that can help build my relationship with him.

By far, for me "Recall” is my most important game. I can only do basic training safely for both of us, so I am keeping it really simple. My aim is to achieve a good reliable come back to me whenever I ask.

1st Step – Pick your word, mine is “Come”. ✅

2nd Step – EVERY SINGLE time I say that word in my very happy voice I give Whisky a treat. ✅

At this point there are no other steps to the game. Other than play it daily to build that association. 🥰🐶👍

THANKFULLY, I have been working on reinforcing that word for a couple of days. It is far from reliable, but it was enough for me to recall Whisky from my biggest fear today.

I said the word; he came back to me and I swiftly collar held him and moved us both away in my very delicate state! Apparently, adrenaline is a very powerful drug!! 🥰🐶👍
