I got a chance to play around a little at Richmonds the other night with David from Epic Images Photography. I was there to assist but took a few shots for myself while I was down there and this is what I came out with!

I went for an 80's inspired colour theme which was created using coloured disc's on the front of my flash and a little bit of light painting with a RBG light stick.

I took about 80 different exposures for each image but then only ended up using 4-5 for each one. Its was a real challenge to put together in photoshop and have the colours somewhat balanced, but pretty happy with the result for something with a really fun feel.

Questions and comments always welcomed!

Cliff's FD! 24/12/2019

I would say this is the most difficult shoot I've ever completed, which is completely my fault because for some reason I thought artificial light was the way to go for a couple flip car! None the less pretty happy with the results.

Initially I tried light painting but the combination of the colour shifting wrap and strong ambient light (i'll leave a ambient exposure in the comments) rendered this technique pretty much useless so got out the godox strobe and blasted away. I shot enough that I thought I would be able to put something together in post. I got some really crazy results of the colour with slight changes of angle of the light which made for an absolute nightmare of a post processing session. I'll leave a couple raws in the comments as examples of the changes in colour.

Shot for Banzai magazine. Big thanks to Cliff to building something nuts!

Questions, comments, verbal abuse welcome.

“I like hot rods and I found that LS turbos are addictive, so I combined the two.”

How cool is Mike Rohal's 37' Pick up! I took these a couple weeks back as he was preparing for Street Machine Drag Challenge 2019.

He's chasing a sub 10 second pass this year, all the best mate!

Have a read a little more out the car here:
