Great informative morning and glad to have been out supporting the region.

With drones fast shaping the future of agriculture and farming, the Central Hills Regenerative Agriculture Network recently hosted an agricultural technology drone demonstration, where three companies showcased how drones are being used in agriculture and land management.

• The Branded Story presentation was about smaller drones and what uses they have in mapping out or recording progress on your property, as well as what the CASA rules are for operating them.
• Xtreme Drones demonstrated their helicopter drone and spray unit, which can identify weeds in a paddock to then transfer the information to a tractor driver or the ‘spray drone’ to target weeds quickly and accurately.
• AirborneLogic then presented on how they use drones to do hydrological and vegetation mapping, and how this can make farm management more efficient.

This is an exciting space in the world of agriculture so keep an eye on it!

Congratulations to Round 2 Agtech Growth Fund recipients. AirborneLogic is thrilled to be the lead of an innovative carbon insetting measurement project for South Australian Winegrape growers.

We particularly thank Department of Primary Industries and Regions for this financial support to assist our farming sector in transitioning and adapting to climate change. Measurement and transparency will be critical to demonstrating that change and innovation is possible and profitable, while protecting our environment.
