There are now even more Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) across South Australia thanks to new state government legislation.

From today, AEDs are required in a wide range of public buildings and facilities, including sporting facilities, cinemas, libraries, and shopping centres. You’ll also find them on public transport vehicles like buses, trains and trams.

In South Australia, around 22 people suffer from a cardiac arrest each week. Immediate CPR and the use of an AED can greatly increase survival rates. That’s why having AEDs available in more locations will help save lives.

If you think someone is in cardiac arrest, call Triple Zero (000) and follow their instructions. The call taker will help you perform CPR and locate the nearest AED.
