I was close to home
With a dark moon rising
There by the ocean
cold wind biting
Full of heart in naked twilight waves like mountains
shoreline fighting

Beneath the fury
intent with Grace
the mystery waits
for me to embrace

I do not share in the fear and need the distance carrys my heart to sea

With help from friends
and children brave
the solitude shrinks
I'm not it's slave

The hawk flys on the rise of the dune
home by the dark green sea
There in nature
in flight of the free
as the hand of daylight leaves

I percieve her spirit
in a raging purity
the burden of life
yet clear divinity.

Some may gather
make claim of the sea
but I remember
love is my creed

Memories unhastening
steady and free
make their way found
then lost to sea

How can it be and how can it end
without misgivings
or doubts to defend.
