Let's kick off 2021 with a recent trip up to Hallett, South Australia where I took a look at Sir Hubert Wilkins’ Homestead. Do yourself a favour and look this guy up! As an historical South Aussie figure, it’s a shame he’s not more celebrated!

The Flagstaff Hill Retention dam is tucked away where many don't realise. Surrounded by mountain bike trails and walking parks through the Sturt Gorge, the dam was built hold back 1 in 100 year floods and prevent flooding down on the plain around the Marion area. Definitely worth checking out!
