Blackwell Golf Performance

A nice way to wrap up for what has been somewhat of a turbulent year! Monday night I was presented with the PGA of Australia South Australian Coach of the Year Award!

To be acknowledged by my peers and be recognised for the way that I have adapted and evolved my coaching approach this year is quite humbling. There are so many people who I need to express my gratitude for making this achievement possible. (It is a massive list so I felt it more practical to tag those who have been along for the ride with me this year on my instagram feed).

It has certainly been tricky to stay focussed and organised in this ever-changing world. I am so blessed to have a great family and team around me and thank them for their encouragement, support and guidance over the past twelve months.

My objective this year was to develop more effective student/mentee learning frameworks and strategies to keep communication and learning opportunities forging ahead for my students and fellow PGA professionals during these tough times.

This plan has presented its fair share of challenges but has certainly been rewarding and I’m looking forward to boosting these development frameworks in the years to come. To have the opportunity to strengthen the relationships with my students and mentees via this non-linear approach during the pandemic situation which we’ve all found ourselves in has been quite fulfilling!

Finally a big thanks to the all staff of the Kooyonga Golf Club and my students for providing me with the daily opportunity to hone my craft whilst working with you on your golfing journey. You make it worth it! I am incredibly grateful to work with you all and looking forward to seeing what 2021 has in store for us! Thank you!
