It took the SA women a few innings to find their spark, but once the 4th rolled around, the game was on fire

MEIJER walked to open the door, ALLEN reached on an error, and MENTHA kept the wheels turning by pushing the runners around on a fielder’s choice. VERWAY added another walk, and MAYER’s shot to right brought ALLEN home. HASSEN followed with a double that cleared two more. WHITE reached on an error at short and later crossed the plate thanks to MEIJER’s centre‑field hit. CHRISTENSEN singled to right, and ALLEN drew her second walk of the inning

ACT managed a single run in the 5th, but SA had already seized control and locked down their first win of the tournament and doing it against the ladder‑leaders.

The women also stacked up the hits against WA with ten across the lineup - doubles from Peterson and Meijer, three singles from White, two from Allen, and singles from O’Brien, Christensen and Hassen ⭐️
