This National NAIDOC Week, SA Police Legacy proudly recognises and celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year's theme, '50 Years of Deadly' celebrates the voices, leadership and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities over the past 50 years, while looking ahead to a future led by culture, community and the next generation.

We also acknowledge the service and dedication of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander police officers, past and present, and recognise the families who stand beside them, celebrating and recognising the significance of NAIDOC Week.

What a fantastic afternoon of music! πŸŽΆπŸ’™

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our concert featuring the Band of the South Australia Police and the Australian Army Band Adelaide.

From stirring marches and timeless classics to modern favourites, both bands showcased an incredible range, delivering something for everyone to enjoy. It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout, with our community coming together to support SA Police Legacy while enjoying an afternoon of outstanding live music.

A heartfelt thank you to the musicians who really blew us away with their incredible talent and everyone who attended. Your support helps us continue providing ongoing care to South Australian police families when they need it most.

Our National Police Legacy Day Lunch was filled with connection, reflection and generosity as we came together to celebrate the strength of the police legacy family and honour those who are no longer with us. It was a truly memorable day, made even more special by the heartfelt stories shared, the meaningful moments experienced, and the overwhelming support shown by everyone in the room.

We are so grateful to our sponsors, whose support helped bring this important day to life. Thank you Police Health, Telstra, Military and Emergency Services Health Australia, Police Association of South Australia, CW Wines, Mismatch Brewing Company, The Hills Cider Company, Adelaide Venue Management, FIVEAA, Kwik Kopy Adelaide, TOOP + TOOP.

We are also thrilled to share that, thanks to the generosity of our guests and supporters, we raised more than $13,000 through our Daisy Pledge Wall. Every pledge made will help SA Police Legacy continue supporting the families of South Australian police officers who have lost their lives.

If you couldn't join us, or would like to relive some of the special moments from the day, our full photo gallery is now available here: https://policelegacysa.org.au/photo_gallery/npld-photos-2026/

Here's to another unforgettable National Police Legacy Day and the incredible community that makes it possible. πŸ’œπŸŒΌ
