📱 National AusAlert Test – Monday 27 July 2026 🚨

Australia’s new emergency messaging system, AusAlert, will be tested nationwide on Monday 27 July 2026.

In South Australia, the test will take place between 1:30 pm and 1:45 pm ACST, depending on the device, network and location. During this time, compatible mobile phones, tablets and smartwatches may:

🔔 Display a test alert message
📳 Vibrate
🚨 Play a loud siren-like sound, even if set to silent or do not disturb
📱 Receive the alert on both work and personal devices

The message will clearly state that it is a test and no action is required.

Please be aware that devices may sound unexpectedly during the test period. If you're visiting the library at this time, staff can reassure you that any alert received is part of a planned national exercise.
