If there is a clause in the final orders for settlement stating to the effect that "within the meaning of Part VII of the Family Law Act 1975 the parties intend the provisions mentioned shall as far as practicable finally determine the financial relationship between the parties to the relationship and avoid further proceedings between them". A case cannot be registered with the Child Support Agency and the child support payments are incorporated into the proceeds of the cash settlement.
