Welcome to six of the fine new MBA apprentices who completed their induction with us today! Absolutely LOVING the great quality candidates we’re attracting at the moment, and can’t wait to watch these six take their skills to the next level.
Pictured left to right;
Jackson is commencing an apprenticeship in plumbing at Hindmarsh Plumbing, after being attracted to the trades because they offer clear career pathways - always good to have a plan and know where you’re going Jackson.
Jareth finished Yr 12 last year and took his Cert 2 in Construction Pathways. One of the things that really grabbed his interest was his immediate comfort with using power tools, and he felt a familiarity working with timber and carpentry tools.
Zharius is commencing as a Carpentry apprentice and says that he has always loved working with his hands, solving problems, and seeing a project come together. Zharius believes carpentry is an incredibly useful and versatile trade that will be invaluable for the long term. (And he is 100% correct.)
Brandon, 19, finished year 12 last year and decided he wanted to commence an electrical apprenticeship. He has a natural affinity with complex systems and understanding how they operate, and has spent a lot of time pulling apart motorbike and car engines (and, thankfully, putting them back together.)
Seth is another apprentice carpenter, commencing with Host Employers Loechel. Another one who is good with his hands, Seth is looking forward to the balance of the physical labour, and the brain challenge in his work ahead.
Michael at 44 is commencing an adult electrical apprenticeship at Nilsen’s (along with fellow inductee Brandon!) after a 26 year long career as a mechanic in the family business. Why is he making the leap now? Well, he’s also got a long history with, and passion for, home reno since he bought (and reno’d) his first house at 18, and loved it so much he wants to make the tools a part of his work life going forward.
No matter what your reason for deciding to take up a trade, we couldn’t be happier you’ve decided to do so through Master Builders SA. to
We wish each of you the best as you commence your journey in the building and construction industry and look forward to watching you grow and develop your skills!
