It was great to be part of the Deadly Futures Expo at Playford International College! 🖤❤️💛

Our Inclusive Employment Australia and headspace Edinburgh North teams enjoyed connecting with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, sharing information about the supports we provide, and having conversations about employment, wellbeing, and future pathways.

Events like these create valuable opportunities for young people to explore what’s possible, ask questions, build connections and discover services that can support them on their journey. 🎯

A big thank you to MADEC Workforce Solutions' Ingenious Youth Learning Program and Playford International College for bringing together so many organisations dedicated to supporting young people. We were grateful to be involved and look forward to continuing to work alongside our community to create positive opportunities for local young people.

Growing together at the National Forum! 🌱

Earlier this month, staff and Youth Reference Group members from Sonder-led headspace centres travelled to Brisbane to connect with colleagues from across Australia, share ideas, and learn from one another at the headspace National Forum.

This year's theme, Growing Together, celebrated collaboration, innovation and the incredible work happening across the youth mental health sector.

We were proud to showcase how our four headspace centres work together to create safe and inclusive spaces for young people through our 'Veggie Patch' display - and even prouder to receive the Growing Greatness Award for our showcase board!

A special congratulations also to team members Ramla and Allysha, who presented inspiring breakout sessions, sharing their knowledge, experiences, and the value of lived experience and meaningful youth participation in shaping better outcomes for young people.

A big thank you to everyone who made this year’s forum such a memorable experience. We look forward to continue growing, learning and working together to support young people and our communities. 💚

Back in May, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Peer Practitioner, Rob, attended the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup to join in the yearly celebration of culture, education, connection, and sport.

Held alongside National Reconciliation Week and the AFL Sir Doug Nicholls Round, the event brought together more than 800 First Nations secondary school students from across South Australia.

Beyond the football, students took part in cultural dance workshops, career expos and performance opportunities, helping to strengthen pride in culture, build connections, and explore future pathways.

Thank you to everyone involved in creating such an inspiring experience. 💛🖤❤️
