What is the Power of Co?
When we come together to work for the greater good, we have the opportunity to cooperate and create positive outcomes and impact for the years to come.
Today is International Day of Cooperatives, a day that marks cooperatives’ work across the globe, as they push for equity, justice inclusion and cooperation.
As a mutual bank, Beyond Bank is a member of the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals (BCCM), working to foster transparency, community, collaboration and economic participation.
Together, through cooperation, we can bridge divides, strengthen positive social impact and work towards a more peaceful world.

When we back our community partners, we back our local communities.
The recipients of our most recent Community Development Grants in Western Australia are showing up for their local communities with passion, innovation and dedication.
These grants go to organisations who embed themselves in their local communities and have a shared ambition of making local areas a better place through sustainable access to support, programs and services.
We’re proud to present the Community Development Grants to these Western Australian organisations and initiatives:
Youth Futures - Driving Futures Initiative

Sudbury Community House – School Holiday Program
Providing safe, engaging and supportive holiday experiences for children impacted by family and domestic violence, helping create connection, confidence and stability during challenging times.
Nesti Housing – Maddington Specialist Disability Home Community Garden
Creating opportunities for inclusion, wellbeing and connection through a shared community garden space designed to enhance quality of life for residents living with disability.
Women’s Legal Service WA – Technology Facilitated Abuse Pilot Project

At Beyond Bank, we believe in championing our local heroes.
These heroes are the everyday Australians who put their hand up to donate their time to the local charities, organisations and sports clubs that matter to them through volunteering.
The Australian National Volunteering conference has been taking place in Adelaide throughout this week, hosted by Volunteering Australia.
Last night, Beyond Bank was the proud sponsor of the Conference Dinner where our CEO David Marshall addressed guests from around Australia.
In his speech, David talked about the impact of volunteering in our local communities – noting that volunteering fosters meaning, support, and boundaries for people, and offers an avenue to be part of something.
The evening’s guest speaker was Dr Felix Ho ASM OAM, who inspired and encouraged attendees with five key insights on navigating life as a volunteer. He also shared his volunteer journey, which began in his teenage years. This year, he is undertaking a 50km walk through Europe to raise awareness for Companions and the incredible work and support they give to people with disabilities across Australia.
In 2025, 400 Beyond Bank staff participated in volunteering for organisations in our local communities, making volunteering part of a big part of what we do – even if it makes the smallest difference.

Through our Double Donation fundraiser, we supported the Leila Rose Foundation to raise more than $77,600 during the Warrnambool Racing Club's 2026 TAB May Racing Carnival last week.
We are pleased that our partnership with local Warrnambool organisations has delivered this fantastic collective outcome for the Leila Rose Foundation, helping them to continue their support and guidance to families with children facing rare childhood cancer.
The 2026 TAB May Racing Carnival provided another record-breaking partnership for our JUMP: A Charity Partner Initiative.
The Warrnambool Racing Club is proud to share the outstanding outcome of our 2026 TAB May Racing Carnival Charity Partnership with the Leila Rose Foundation.
Through the generosity of racegoers and the support of Beyond Bank, the principal sponsor of the JUMP initiative, a total of $77,653.40 including $20,000 from Beyond Bank, has been raised for the Leila Rose Foundation who support families with children facing rare childhood cancer.
This partnership is a testament to the strength of collaboration between local organisations and the power of the May Racing Carnival to make a lasting impact beyond the track.
Dr Andrew Chow, Founding Director of the Foundation, said “We extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated volunteers, sponsors, the Warrnambool Racing Club, and Beyond Bank Australia and we are deeply grateful for their generosity, unwavering support and for helping shine a light on the important work of the Leila Rose Foundation.
This was a true community effort, with Warrnambool businesses generously supporting the campaign by selling Leila Rose Foundation pins, race day crowds getting behind us and all with the incredible backing of Beyond Bank.”
We're incredibly proud to support charities and organisations each year through Warrnambool Racing Club's JUMP: A Charity Partner Initiative. Applications for the 2026-27 season will open in September.
