The DTAA in-person weekend executive meeting and the NSW Regional Gathering

The DTAA (Dance Movement Therapy Association of Australasia) has the executive team and committees.The executive is comprised of the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. I have been serving as the secretary since 2023 and we the executive met in Sydney for intense discussions.

I had a rich weekend in Sydney with my amazing colleagues who volunteer their time for the dance movement therapy community. Many important discussions and decisions took place about our current practice and future directions. Then we met Sydney-based practitioners and moved, played and danced to our souls. Moving together in person was just so special and an important reminder for me to have connections with our community. All agreed that we must come together to strengthen our profession and connect with and support one another. I'm taking away with this embodied experience and learning from my dedicated practitioners.

I'm going to work on creating a space for our community for SA based dance movement therapists soon.
