1. 𧩠Master the Art of "Chunking"
Donβt try to read the whole text in one single breath, and definitely don't pause after every single word. Group words into meaningful phrases (chunks). Pause naturally for a fraction of a second at commas, periods, and logical connectors.
2. π Fluency > Perfection (No Self-Correction!)
If you mispronounce a word or skip a syllable, KEEP GOING. The absolute worst thing you can do for your fluency score is stop, say "sorry," or try to correct yourself. The AI punishes hesitations much harder than a minor pronunciation slip. Smoothness is key!
3. π€ Ditch the Robot Voice (Intonation & Stress)
Monotone reading is a score killer. English is a stress-timed language. You need to emphasize the content words (nouns, verbs, adjectives) and glide over the structure words (articles, prepositions). Let your pitch rise and fall naturally.
4. β³ Use the 35-Second Preparation Window Wisely
Donβt just sit there waiting for the beep! Use the 35 seconds of prep time to read the text out loud quietly. Spot any complex, tongue-twisting words (like phenomenon or biodiversity) and practice moving your mouth through them before the microphone goes live.
