The largest annual athletics event in the Australia and Oceania region has hit the tracks in Adelaide today, bringing thousands of the nation’s top athletes to South Australia.

Held at the SA Athletics Stadium until 19 April, the 2024 Australian Athletics Championships will play a role key in the nomination process for the Australian Olympic and Paralympic Teams travelling to the Paris 2024 Games.

It is the first time Adelaide has hosted the championships since 1992 and will see more than 90% of competing athletes come from outside SA, along with teams, families, and spectators helping boost visitation to the state.
