✨ MatChat Sisters | June Gathering ✨

In a world that often challenges our faith, there is something truly powerful about young Catholic women gathering together with the shared desire to know Christ more deeply and courageously live the Gospel.

This month, as we continued our series on our journey of calling, we were blessed to hear Alyse De Souza's inspiring testimony of walking the Camino de Santiago. Her story reminded us that every step of our pilgrimage through life is an opportunity to trust God's providence and answer His call with courage.

Together, we reflected on:

🤍 What is God asking us to leave behind?

🤍 How can we journey more lightly on our pilgrimage of life?

🤍 What gifts has God given us through the people we encounter?

We then entered into prayer, meditating on a decade of the Rosary with our Blessed Mother Mary, before praying the Sacred Heart Prayer during this beautiful month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The evening concluded with heartfelt worship, lifting our voices as one family in Christ.

Now more than ever, we need courageous Catholic young women who will stand firm in faith, encourage one another, and become saints in the ordinary moments of life. Sisterhood isn't simply friendship. It's walking together towards Heaven, strengthening one another to remain faithful even when the world makes it difficult.

We also united in prayer for all those working tirelessly to build God's Kingdom here on earth, especially remembering the Australian pro-life movement following this week's heartbreaking news. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus strengthen us to respond with hope, truth, compassion, and unwavering faith.

On Friday 15 May at 7:30pm, we’ll be joining Father Olek’s young adult group to watch The Case for Christ, a film following Lee Strobel’s investigation into the resurrection of Jesus. We’ll meet at Mater Dei Church. 🎬

Then on Sunday 17 May, we’ll be participating in the Catholic Archdiocese Marian procession. We’ll wear white and blue and meet at 1:45pm at Victoria Park for a 2:00pm start 🤍💙. You’re welcome to walk with your own parish or find friends along the way — just please make sure to take a photo with the Matchat group 📸
