As our sister company Rowlands Metalworks said an emotional goodbye to one of their dedicated employees Anne le Clercq who retired as General Manager with Rowlands, it too was a sad day for us here at Pecan Lighting. Anne was not only dedicated to Rowlands but she was very much involved with Pecan Lighting in many ways also. Her guidance, training, leadership and friendship with us all, will be one that we will miss. From all of us at Pecan Lighting we wish you all the best on your retirement and may life take you on many adventures in the future.

When was the last time you looked up into the night sky and actually seen the sky filled with stars?

The stars have always captivated human imagination, but increasingly, they have become a rare sight above us. Light pollution, which is increasing at twice the rate of population growth, is robbing us of the breathtaking beauty of a starry night sky. To make matters worse, a staggering 83% of the global population lives under a light-polluted sky. However, with our efficient and sustainable LED lighting solutions, we can minimize light pollution and protect our beloved night skies. So, this International Dark Skies Week 15th - 22nd April 2023, let's all become a part of the solution and turn off unnecessary lights. Go outside and witness the magnificent display of stars above us. Let's celebrate the beauty of our night sky and remind ourselves about the significance of protecting it.

In 2009 Rowlands Metalworks moved into a new purpose-built factory In Lonsdale SA.
