Horseed FC Brisbane is proud for this special Farewell Match in honour of Ciisa Aden Abshir legendary former captain of the Somali National Soccer Team and current global scout for Somali talent.
Over the past few weeks, Ciisa has been in Brisbane, QLD, bringing with him a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to nurturing the next generation of Somali footballers.
His visit has been a privilege, and as he prepares to depart, we invite the community to join us in celebrating his time with us.

Match Summary:
Zone 3FC 5 – 3 Horseed FC
Somali Independence Day Tournament – grand final match.
The final clash between Horseed FC and Zone 3 delivered an intense and action-filled spectacle, marked by tactical shifts and spirited performances from both sides.
Horseed FC commenced the match with notable urgency, applying early pressure that culminated in an opening goal by Eri in the 3rd minute. 0-1
Zone 3 responded with composure and managed to level the score shortly thereafter, demonstrating their resilience under pressure. 1-1
Maintaining their offensive momentum, Horseed regained control of the match, and Eri secured his second goal in the 35th minute, allowing Horseed FC to enter halftime with a 1–2 advantage.
The second half presented a stark contrast. Zone 3 emerged with renewed determination, capitalizing on transitional moments to score three goals in quick succession, dramatically shifting the lead to 4–2.
Despite this setback, Horseed FC remained competitive. A well-executed effort from Hassow in the 68th minute headed goal reduced the deficit to 4–3, re-energizing the team’s push for parity.
However, in the closing stages of the match amidst Horseed’s aggressive pursuit of an equaliser their defensive structure faltered, and Zone 3 added a fifth goal to seal the outcome.
