Hotgates

Cosmodrome is a cinematic rock band from Germany and they released their new single "Satellites" recently. I had the privilege of working on the 3D and animation space scenes in that video.

Back to creating structural meshes. This time I'm testing some dome like structures.

💧 Created some interesting areas, like a big central area perfect for a boss fight or a hub. (images 1-2)

💧 Then I went on and created some smaller round areas that could have access to the outside. This area could be either a sewer entrance or simply a crossing for the player to explore (images 3-4)

💧 Lastly I took the dome structure and tried to create a semi dome room and a spherical one. (images 5-6)

💧 This one was a bit of a struggle to figure out how to create them and still maintain modularity with the rest of the meshes. In the end I managed to keep them on the same grid as you can see. (images 7-8)

💧 Currently cleaning up some meshes and optimizing them a bit further.
