Now that Halloween is here 🎃, what better than to talk about the wonderful properties of pumpkin, a versatile vegetable that we can find in the market all year round, although it is in October when we all remember it. An autumnal food 🍂 if ever there was one, and that in addition to its striking shape, and above all, for its orange color, is rich in vitamins and minerals.

The pumpkin is the berry fruit of the zucchini, an herbaceous plant of the cucurbitaceous family, with large, rough leaves and intense yellow flowers. We can find different varieties of pumpkins, each of them having particular properties.

Ahora que el día de Halloween ya está aquí 🎃, qué mejor que hablaros de las estupendas propiedades de la calabaza, una versátil hortaliza que podemos encontrar en el mercado todo el año; a pesar de que es en el mes de octubre cuando todos nos acordamos de ella. Un alimento otoñal 🍂 donde los haya, y que además de llamativo por su forma, y sobre todo, por su color anaranjado, es rico en vitaminas y en minerales.

La calabaza es el fruto en baya de la calabacera, una planta herbácea de la familia de las cucurbitáceas, de hojas grandes y ásperas, y flores de color amarillo intenso. Podemos encontrar diferentes variedades de calabazas teniendo cada una de ellas propiedades particulares.
