💡Renal arteriovenous fistula ( ) is a recognized complication after kidney biopsy, occurring in up to 10% of cases. Most are asymptomatic and resolve spontaneously, but treatment is recommended when patients develop symptoms such as hematuria or hypertension, or when large AVFs and associated pseudoaneurysms carry a risk of rupture. Endovascular embolization is the treatment of choice, offering a safe, minimally invasive, and highly effective solution while preserving renal parenchyma.
