No words we write here can express how infinitely sad and incomprehensible we are about the current situation in Ukraine. There should be no wars! Nowhere in the world...
Our empathy goes out to all the people who can no longer feel safe, have to flee, have lost someone and are grieving, have to leave someone behind, feel they have to fight themselves, and especially to the many frightened and helpless children.  

Today, we came across the story of 9-year-old Maksym on Unicef's website, "When I play the piano, I forget the war." As the conflict escalated, he fled eastern Ukraine with his mother and brother. Maksym says he was supposed to play his first concert this week, "but we had to flee because they were bombed." Maksym packed a few things to take with him - including some sheet music and a roll-up silicone keyboard - as the family fled....

We wish the many children who are victims of the war that in these times - just as Maksym manages to do through his music-making - they will find a way to be able to block out fear and sorrow every now and then.
