Europe has been for years a leader in setting the standards for food products. Support for organic and sustainable farming is a logical step in ensuring that these high standards can be met, and that the prices can be set at the levels affordable for the wider groups of population. Only then the calls for sustainable consumption will sound not as a hypocrisy propagated by a wealthy few, but as a rational choice available to many.

Die Strategie „ Vom Hof auf den Tisch “ verfolgt das Thema Nachhaltigkeit der Lebensmittel sowie die Unterstützung der Erzeuger, der Landwirte und Fischer.
Das Programm enthält die nächsten Ziele🍅🌽🥕🎯

• Bis zum Jahr 2030 sollen 25% der EU-Landwirtschaft biologisch betrieben werden.
• Reduzierung des Pestizideinsatzes bis zum Jahr 2030 um 50%.
• Reduzierung von Düngemitteln bis zum Jahr 2030 um 20%.
• Obst und Gemüse sollen wieder reich an Nährstoffen sein.
• Reduzierung des Einsatzes antimikrobieller Mittel um 50% in der Landwirtschaft und in der Aquakultur bis 2030.
• Lebensmittelkennzeichnungen sollen nachhaltig werden.
• Reduzierung der Lebensmittelverschwendung bis 2030 um 50%.

Albeit some progress, still long way to go before the 50/50 will be a natural split: women represent around 50% of EU population, but only 34% of its managerial-level employees.
