Common Ground #1: Unmoved
You know that something needs to move.
But it feels stuck.
It's believed Einstein said"You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it."
We all know that loop. We go back to the same thinking. The same conversation with ourselves. The same analysis, the same reframe, the same conclusion. And the thing that needs to move stays exactly where it is.
Not because we're not trying hard enough. Because we're using all the tools we have.
The bodymind has been holding it the whole time.
You will be invited to bring a real situation. Something that feels stuck. You won't be asked to explain it, solve it, or even share it. Just to let your body show you what it's carrying.nt.
It just needs to be listened to.
Common Ground #1 — Unmoved is a guided movement session for exactly that: the places in you that are not finding a way to move forward.
Drawing from a practice from Social Presencing Theater, we work with simple movement and embodied awareness to sense what thinking alone can't reach.
You will be invited to bring a real situation. Something that feels stuck. You won't be asked to explain it, solve it, orr even share it. Just to let your body show you what it's carrying.
This is the first session in Common Ground — a new series of movement practices I'm offering this summer in Vienna, each one drawing on a different practice from Social Presencing Theater.
You can join just this one. Each session stands on its own.

Common Ground is a new series of guided movement sessions. A practice series to explore our shared territory through movement and presence.
Each session draws on a different practice from Social Presencing Theater, each one exploring what we sense before we can explain it.
Three sessions. Three Tuesday afternoons in Vienna this summer.

Finding the cracks in what won't move in you, regardless of how much you think about it.

Learning to listen to what you already know before the words arrive.
#3 Collective Tide — 14.7.2026

I recorded this video last week in the mountains. Before I felt the grass, I was already walking across it. But I couldn’t feel it.
With the shoes on, I was moving fast enough. The ground was just a surface. It was reliable, unremarkable, and not much friction. This is what an armour does. It doesn’t stop you; it lets you keep going without having to feel the cost of going.
The speed and rushing we bring into our lives work the same way. Not as an avoidance in any simple sense, but a genuine adaptation. At some point, just like the ground was too much, the stillness also became unbearable. So we learned to move faster than feeling, and it worked, and we survived, and then we forgot we were doing it.
In the spaces I hold, I see this again and again. People arrive with the same type of rush from outdoors. Sometimes it’s physical agitation, but most of them sit down, settle in, and, from the outside, seem to be quieting down. However, something inside is still going. Still rushing.
The invitation to slow down lands differently for each person. For some, it surfaces as restlessness, maybe a need to name what is happening before it has finished happening. For others, it arrives as a wave of something old: grief, fear, a memory that was apparently waiting just beneath the pace of ordinary life. For others still, the slowness itself becomes the difficulty in itself, as though stopping were a kind of failure, as though not-doing were doing-it-wrong.
What comes up when we slow down is not created by the slowing. It was already there. Speed was just keeping it at a certain distance.

The first time I entered this room I felt a huge curiosity about what it would be like to host an event there. To move there. To feel in my cells and in my soul the care and magic that is being poured into it by both Daniela .ancestral and the many practitioners and participants that are working there this month!
On Monday, you can join the Move from within workshop. You just need to register via Eventbrite (organiser: Abuela Sinha)!
Let's also bring our magic to this beautiful space!
