Back to the roots. A journey through space, time – and innovation.

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of welcoming a very special guest to the Co-Innovation Factory 🏭💡: Ethan J. Lock CPV AAVI the great-grandson of one of the Mendl brothers, founders of the former Ankerbrot factory.

What is now a vibrant hub for creativity, innovation, and co-creation was, over 130 years ago, the largest bread factory in Europe – built by the Mendl brothers with visionary entrepreneurial spirit, courage and social foresight.

This visit was more than a nostalgic look back. It was an emotional moment where past and future came together. Through our exchange, one thing became clear: innovation is not a break with history – it’s its continuation by new means.

A place transforms. The spirit remains.
