‘The Long Winter’ explores mental health through the quieter months of the Pacific Northwest, where rain lingers, daylight fades, and the season settles in slowly. The change of the seasons can be subtle in its impact, but profound in its weight. This series honours the small rituals that carry us through, and opens conversation around the care and connection that keep us grounded.

Each episode follows a member of the Wirth community, creating space to share and reflect on the practices they’ve built to support their mental wellbeing as they navigate the change of seasons.

Episode 2 features Nick Macleod and Mark Shuya, who each engage in practices and rituals that ground them in where they are and deepen their connection to one another and the friends around them.
