This year TermNet’s Terminology Summer School goes to Greece, to the beautiful island of Lemnos, hosted by the University of the Aegean. From the 22nd to the 26th of June don’t miss this unique combination of with a focus on AI and LLM’s but also standardisation and localisation, with a programme permitting participants also to enjoy unique beaches, food and wines and with high level professors and managers from the linguistic field giving to students and young professionals access to the exams for the international ECQA certification as terminology managers.

Meet Annamaria Kilyeni, a distinguished trainer at the 2025 International Terminology Summer School (TSS), taking place from June 2–6 in Timișoara, Romania!

An Associate Professor at Politehnica University of Timișoara, she coordinates the Translation and Interpreting BA program and teaches courses in Terminology, Terminology Management, English for Specific Purposes, and Translation Practice.​

Annamaria's journey with terminology began with her MA in Terminology and Translation Studies and deepened after attending TSS in 2006. She co-created the first English–Romanian termbase in architecture and town planning and led student research for the European Parliament’s “Terminology Without Borders” project in 2023.​

On Day 1 of TSS 2025, themed “Terminology as a Science,” Annamaria will share her expertise in terminology theory and its practical applications. This day is ideal for those interested in academic and research perspectives on terminology.​
