🌅 Series Highlight: “The Sun Will Soon Appear”

In this poetic series, Ukrainian artist Danya Kovach imagines a utopian dream of peace on Earth. The paintings reveal soft, blurred blue landscapes where the sun slowly begins to rise. Along the lower edge of each canvas, the phrase “The Sun Will Soon Appear” is written in different languages, like film subtitles — a reminder that hope is shared across cultures and borders.

Traditional Ukrainian floral ornaments appear at the edges of the paintings, their blossoms guarded by thorns — symbols of resilience protecting beauty and life. Kovach envisions this long-term project in every language of the world, turning art into a global message of hope.

The series is presented in the Exhibition THE SUN Will Soon Appear curated by Yana Gryniv, on view March 10–19, 2026 at Taith Contemporary in Vienna, organized by Art Contact Ukraine and Kulturverein Worte und Taten.
