Herzlichen Dank an das Team der Energiewerkstatt!

Seit Jahren unterstützt die Energiewerkstatt mit einem Teil ihres Erfolgs nachhaltig arbeitende Organisationen. Aktuell fließen 5.000 Euro in das Projekt „Solar Pledge East Africa“ von horizont3000. Damit werden Schulen und Gesundheitszentren in Uganda und Kenia mit Photovoltaik-Anlagen ausgestattet. Solarstrom ermöglicht

• sichere Geburten bei Nacht,
• gekühlte Impfstoffe, die Leben retten
• und digitale Bildung in entlegenen Regionen.

Neben der finanziellen Hilfe setzt die Energiewerkstatt mit ihrem Engagement für die Energiewende auch ein starkes Zeichen für Know-how-Transfer und den nachhaltigen Aufbau lokaler Kompetenzen im Bereich erneuerbarer Energie. Durch die Unterstützung des Projekts werden lokale Techniker-Teams in Ostafrika gestärkt und saubere, zukunftsfähige Energielösungen langfristig verankert. What happens when global strategy meets lived reality?
💡 At horizont3000’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025 in Mozambique, discussions moved beyond conference rooms and into communities, projects, and partnerships shaping real change.

🌍 The AGM brought together members, partners, and volunteers
from Lemusica, Jossoal, Azada Verde, Esmabama, Conselho Provincial do Voluntariado - Manica, and CNV-Conselho Nacional do Voluntariado to reflect on where development cooperation must go next. Three key learnings stood out clearly.

👫 Gender equality needs consistent commitment.
Discussions reinforced that gender equality is not a side issue but a core principle. It requires intentional leadership, inclusive project design, and accountability, both within partner organisations and in community-based work.

💚 Climate action must be locally rooted.
Mozambique’s vulnerability to climate change highlighted a central lesson: climate action only works when it builds on local knowledge and strengthens resilience where impacts are felt most. Climate justice and social justice must go hand in hand.

🤲 Technical advisors and volunteers are key drivers of impact.
The AGM underlined the crucial role of horizont 3000's technical advisors & CNV's volunteers. Embedded in partner organisations, they connect expertise with local priorities, strengthen capacities, and help translate global goals into sustainable, long-term change.

🗣️ As one core message captured the spirit of the AGM:
“Sustainable change happens when local expertise, global solidarity, and long-term commitment come together.”

🫶 The AGM 2025 was more than an annual meeting. It was a reminder that meaningful impact emerges when reflection, cooperation, and action go hand in hand.
