His lecture, “Rethinking Corruption: Latest Global Trends & Patterns”, focuses on how corruption is evolving across regions and sectors, shaped by globalization, technological change, and shifting governance structures. We are delighted to introduce Fernanda Odilla, an expert in using artificial intelligence for corruption prevention, as a lecturer at the 16th edition of the International Anti-Corruption Summer Academy (IACSA) 2026, taking place at IACA’s campus in Laxenburg (Austria) from 8 to 12 June 2026!

In her session, Fernanda Odilla will explore how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are being applied in anti-corruption efforts across government and civil society. The lecture will introduce key concepts and provide a practical framework for understanding how AI tools function, including their data inputs, processing methods, and outputs.

It will also examine different development models and digital ecosystems, while addressing the challenges of algorithmic transparency, governance, and the ethical, technical, and regulatory considerations associated with using AI in anti-corruption work.
