Off the cuff moments.

I’ve shot on and off film since I was about 16. Early on, I learnt how to develop film myself, mainly to understand the process behind it and what actually goes into creating an image.

Over the last few years, I’ve started taking a small film camera with me on my travels. Holidays, work trips, expeditions, weekends away.

I’ve found it’s become a really nice way to capture the off the cuff moments. The little things you don’t think much about at the time, but end up being the photos you’re most glad you took when you look back.

I’m not some hardcore film photographer, and I don’t really shoot film to develop it myself anymore. For me, it’s just about slowing down a little and capturing those off the cuff moments.

Here are a few frames from a few weeks in the Alps last year. ⛰️
