1915 ✝️ We Remember

🕯️ April 23, 1915. On the eve of catastrophe, Armenian life across the Ottoman Empire was still whole — present in schools, workshops, churches, markets, and homes filled with light. 🏛️📚🧵 Armenians had lived, built, and contributed to the country for centuries — as artisans, teachers, merchants, architects, writers, and families rooted in the land. Prosperity was not only wealth, but culture, knowledge, faith, and continuity passed from one generation to the next. ✨ That night, nothing seemed broken. And yet, within hours, arrests in Constantinople would begin, marking the start of a systematic destruction that would erase lives, communities, and a civilization from the very land it had helped shape. 💔 This is not only the story of what was lost — but of a world that once lived fully, beautifully, and truly, before it was taken.

🕯️ 1915 թվականի ապրիլի 23-ը։ Աղետի նախօրեին Օսմանյան կայսրության ողջ տարածքում հայկական կյանքը դեռ ամբողջական էր՝ ապրում էր դպրոցներում, արհեստանոցներում, եկեղեցիներում, շուկաներում և լույսով լի տներում։ 🏛️📚🧵 Հայերը դարեր շարունակ ապրել, արաել են, բարգավաճում են բերել երկրին՝ որպես արհեստավորներ, ուսուցիչներ, վաճառականներ, ճարտարապետներ, գրողներ և հողի հետ սերտաճաց սերունդներ։ Բարգավաճումը միայն հարստություն չէր, այլ մշակույթ, գիտելիք, հավատք և սերնդեսերունդ փոխանցվող ժառանգություն։ ✨ Այդ գիշեր դեռ ոչինչ կոտրված չէր թվում։ Բայց ընդամենը ժամեր անց Պոլսում կսկսվեին ձերբակալությունները՝ դառնալով մի ծրագրավորված բնաջնջման սկիզբ, որը պիտի ջնջեր կյանքեր, համայնքներ և մի ամբողջ քաղաքակրթություն այն նույն հողից, որի ձևավորման մեջ ինքը մասնակցել էր։ 💔 Սա միայն կորստի պատմություն չէ — սա հիշողություն է մի աշխարհի մասին, որը երբևէ ապրել է լիովին, գեղեցիկ և իրական, մինչև այն խլեցին։

🤍 Ապրիլի 7-ը Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու օրացույցում Սուրբ Աստվածածնի Ավետման տոնն է՝ այն բարի լուրը, որով Գաբրիել հրեշտակապետը Մարիամ Աստվածածնին ավետեց Փրկչի ծնունդը։ Այս օրը մեր հոգևոր կյանքում հիշեցում է հավատքի, խոնարհության և Աստծո կամքին սիրով ընդառաջ գնալու մասին։

Միևնույն ժամանակ, ապրիլի 7-ը Հայաստանում նշվում է նաև որպես Մայրության և գեղեցկության օր, իսկ եկեղեցական կյանքում այս օրը առանձնանում է մայրերի ու մայրության բերկրանքը սպասող կանանց օրհնությամբ։

Այս գեղեցիկ օրվա առիթով սրտանց շնորհավորում ենք բոլոր մայրերին՝ մաղթելով խաղաղություն, առողջություն, անսպառ սեր և օրհնությամբ լի ընտանիքներ։ Թող Սուրբ Մարիամի խոնարհությունն ու լույսը միշտ պահապան լինեն ձեր տներում, իսկ մայրական սերը դառնա հույսի, ջերմության և կյանքի շարունակության ամենապայծառ վկայությունը։

🤍 April 7 in the calendar of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church is the Feast of the Annunciation of the Holy Mother of God — the blessed message through which Archangel Gabriel announced to the Virgin Mary the birth of the Savior. This day reminds us of faith, humility, and the grace of embracing God’s will with love.

At the same time, April 7 is also celebrated in Armenia as Motherhood and Beauty Day, and in church life it is marked by the blessing of mothers and women awaiting the joy of motherhood.

On this beautiful occasion, we warmly congratulate all mothers, wishing them peace, good health, endless love, and families filled with blessings. May the humility and light of Holy Mary always protect your homes, and may a mother’s love remain the brightest witness of hope, warmth, and the continuation of life.

In the silence of Nazareth, heaven gently touched the earth.

The Archangel Gabriel came to Saint Mary with a message that would change the history of the world forever. She was chosen to bear the Son of God — not in glory before men, not in the шум of power, but in humility, purity, and holy stillness. In that sacred moment, fear met grace, and wonder met faith.

Mary did not answer with pride. She answered with trust. Her heart trembled before the mystery, yet it remained open to God. And through her humble yes, the door of salvation was opened for all mankind.

The Child announced by Gabriel was not only a promised son, but the Savior — Jesus Christ, the hope of the world, the light in our darkness, the mercy of God made visible among us.

How beautiful is this mystery: that God chose a pure and faithful heart, and through that heart brought redemption near to the whole world. The Annunciation is not only the story of a message given; it is the story of obedience, surrender, and divine love entering human history.

May the faith of Saint Mary teach us to trust even when we do not fully understand.
May her purity teach us reverence.
May her yes teach us how to answer when God calls.

“Do not be afraid.”
“May it be done to me according to your word.”

Holy Mary, pray for us. ✨
